Meet the Team

Haven Basketball Academy is led by professional basketball player Trey Tennyson. Trey was a member of the 2017 Texas 5A State Championship team at Mansfield Timberview and later earned District 5-5A Offensive MVP at Mansfield Legacy in 2019 after averaging 24 points per game and making 89 three-pointers. He also holds the school records for points in a season (948) and points in a game (42).

He began his collegiate career at Ranger College, earning 3rd Team All-Region 5 honors and helping lead the team to the NJCAA Final Four. Trey later played at Texas A&M–Corpus Christi, where he earned Honorable Mention and 2nd Team All-Conference honors, broke the program’s single-season three-point record with 100 made threes, and helped the team win back-to-back conference championships and reach the NCAA Tournament in consecutive seasons. He finished his collegiate career at Texas Christian University, where the team again advanced to the NCAA Tournament — marking three straight March Madness appearances during his career. Trey shot 41% from three over his collegiate career.

He has also participated in multiple NBA workouts and played professionally overseas in Belgium and Poland and is still currently playing.
